Big C Extra (Central Pattaya)
Big C Extra is a hypermarket in Pattaya offering a grocery store and department store under one roof. The store offers premium products aimed at the mid to high-income shopper while still maintaining the store’s value prices. They have a selection of premium goods, imported products, and wines that you won’t find at the regular Big C Supercenters.
The Big C Extra in Pattaya is located in a shopping center along with a HomePro, a food court, and various other small stores and kiosks. Situated on Central Pattaya Road just to the east of 3rd Road, it is conveniently placed to make it easy to get to from anywhere in Pattaya.
The grocery store has a large selection of fresh meat and produce as well as a selection of prepared goods that appeal to both Thai and Western tastes. You’ll find a variety of fresh meats and seafood sitting out in open containers that you can bag and wrap yourself. This may surprise visitors from the United States or Europe as you probably wouldn’t see something like this in your local grocery store.
There is a large selection of beer, wine, and spirits for sale at the Big C extra. Whether you are looking for a single beer or a case, they have what you are looking for at reasonable prices.
In addition to shopping for groceries, there is the department store offering a selection of clothing and home goods. From dishes and glassware to refrigerators and televisions, you can find a lot of products you need to keep your household running smoothly.
On the first floor of the shopping center, you’ll find the Food Park which is a food court filled with a variety of fast food restaurants as well as sit down places to eat. Some of the restaurants include MK Restaurant, KFC, and Swensen’s Ice Cream.
There are also several kiosks located on both floors. If you need to get a Thai Sim card there is both a Dtac and AIS shop on the second floor.
This Big C Extra in Pattaya was formerly a Carrefour that was rebranded after Big C acquired the Thailand operations in 2010.
