LK Renaissance Hotel (Review)

Welcome to our review of the LK Renaissance Hotel in Pattaya.  Part of the large LK Hotel chain, the Renaissance is one of their most popular options.  With a great location in the heart of down town Pattaya, the hotel is right in the middle of the action on Soi Diana.

The hotel’s location has both it’s good and bad points.  You can easily get to anywhere in Pattaya, it is a short walk to either Soi Buakhao, Second Road, and not too far to the beach.  Getting a baht bus or motorcycle taxi is quick and easy.  There are tons of bars and restaurants on Soi Diana, however the bar noise can be intrusive if your room overlooks the street.

The rooms are large and furnished in the typical LK style with antique looking European design.  The hotel has been open for over 10 years and like most hotels in that age group is getting a little run down.  The repairs to the room are done cheaply and the place could use a good overhaul.  However the rooms are still very nice.

The rooms have large refrigerators, a couch or seating area of some kind, TV, DVD player, and free Wifi. The bathrooms are quite large, the Studio and Superior rooms have a tub, while the Deluxe and above have both a tub and walk-in shower.

The cost of a night’s stay at the LK Renaissance Pattaya hotel is on the higher end.  With the smaller studio rooms are going for about 1,800 baht and the nicer Deluxe rooms starting around 2,500 baht.  This is probably due to the hotels prime location and large rooms.

The facilities at the hotel are ok, but nothing to write home about.  There is a small but quaint pool on one of the upper floors and no fitness center.

Service at the hotel can good and you are usually greeted with a smile.  They are somewhat helpful with your needs, just like the service in a lot of Thai hotels.

I don’t think the LK Renaissance is a great value and there are so many more hotels to choose from in the area that it is worth a look around to see some of the other options.

The hotel is guest friendly and does not charge a joiner fee.
