Tequila Reef Cantina

The Tequila Reef Cantina and Bar serves great Mexican food at reasonable prices.  This is American style Mexican food, so you’ll find a selection of your favorites such as tacos, quesadillas, burritos, and taquitos.  Mexican food isn’t the only thing on the menu, they also have burgers, cheese steaks, and a Thai menu as well.

The indoor air-conditioned seating is plentiful with booths, tables, and seats at the bar.  If you want to sit outside they have some tables on the deck so that you can watch the world go by on Soi 7 while you dine.  The bar area has several large TV’s and since it is American owned they get all the best sporting events from the U.S. including the Super Bowl.

The food here is great.  I originally thought against having Mexican food in Pattaya, but I’m glad I decided to give it a try.  I went for lunch and was there for Taco Tuesday where every taco is 60 baht.  I had one of each – chicken, beef, and pork.  The portions were good sized and the tacos were excellent.  I full meal for 120 baht, which is a really good deal in my opinion.  Of course I did have a San Miguel Light which set me back another 80 baht.  All together 200 baht for a tasty lunch, which is still a great deal.

Tequila Reef Cantina runs specials throughout the week, you can find them on a sign outside the restaurant which I’ll post below.  I’m look forward to Fajita Friday’s.

You can’t go to a Mexican joint without having a margarita, and Tequila Reef makes a great one.  Well, they actually make a few different great ones.  There are several options to choose from in addition to other popular frozen drinks such as Pina Colada and Daiquiri.  Or you can go for the “Rainbow” Madness – 1/3 each of Frozen Margarita, Blue Lagoon Margarita, and Strawberry Daiquiri.  In addition to the frozen drinks they have a full bar with beers and spirits and other specialty drinks.

If you want some Mexican food and don’t feel like leaving your hotel room, they offer delivery service through Door 2 Door.  I’ve never used a food delivery service in Pattaya, but I must say it does have me thinking I need to try that in the future.

The Tequila Reef Pattaya Cantina gets top marks for food, atmosphere, service, and value.  Give it a try next time you are in Pattaya and crave some good Mexcian food.
